DeadBandai Namco Games uploaded this promo yesterday for the Eureka Seven AO Hybrid disc, which is a Blu-Ray with an unseen OVA for the series on it as well as a game for the PS3.
The OVA is a story that takes place between 8th and 9th episodes of the anime, which is still airing. I haven’t watched any of it yet, but I have read the manga. It’s only 3 chapters deep and the show is who knows how far ahead of it now, but whatever.
The game on the disc looks like some kind of airplane dog fighting game, but with the airplanes replaced with LFO’s.
The regular edition of the disc will also have a roundtable discussion with the voice cast of the series and the April 2012 broadcast version of the special episode 51 of the original Eureka Seven series. The limited edition will have the storyboards and script for the OVA as well as an Eureka Seven Archive booklet.
The Hybrid Disc is due out in Japan September 20th with a price point of 7980 yen for the regular edition and 10500 yen for the limited. That’s about $100 and $130, respectively.
