At Comic-Con, CraveOnline caught up with one of my favorite directors Sam Raimi to ask him about the World of Warcraft movie he had been working on since 2009. He told them that he was no longer attached to the project.
Apparently when Raimi took the directing job for Oz: The Great and Powerful, the people behind the movie decided to let him go.
“Actually, they don’t have me directing World of Warcraft anymore because when I took the Oz job, they had to move on to another director,” Raimi told Crave, “They had to start making it.”
No word yet on whether or not Blizzard is looking for another director for the movie. Or any word that Raimi was actually let go.
