Fighting evil by moonlight,
winning love by daylight.
Never running from a real fight,
she is the one named…
For those aged within a few years of myself, I can almost guarantee that you finished that song in your head, and know exactly what I am referring to, and you love it. For all those reading this younger than 15, however, you are in luck! It would seem that the powers that be don’t want to deprive your generation of their very own Sailor Moon anime series. That’s right, folks, Sailor Moon is returning, as announced by idol group Momoiro Clover Z, publisher Kadansha, and original creator Naoko Takeuchi this past Friday. It is set for simultaneous worldwide release next summer, but other than that, not a whole lot else is known. Kotono Mitsuishi and Tohru Furuya, the original voices of Sailor Moon/Usagi Tsukino and Tuxedo Mask/Mamoru Chiba, were also present at the announcement event, but nothing was said as to whether or not they would be reprising their roles in the new series, although Mitsuishi stated in a later blog post that she is eager to play a role in it.
Take that however you will. I now give you permission to release your pent up excitement you were holding in while reading.
Thank you my lord… hold on one sec I’m preparing my inner vader.
Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!
God Fucking Dam It why I just recovered from the scars.
