Marvel Entertainment has recently announced their answer to DC Comics’ New 52 a year later with MARVEL NOW! We new number one issues from October until January of 2013.
What to expect is new ongoings such as All-New X-Men, about the original Lee-Kirby X-Men team traveling to the present day and meeting their older selves, and Uncanny Avengers, where Captain America and Wolverine make a team full of muties. Then we will be getting relaunches of books like Captain America and New Avengers. Also, the big bosses at Marvel have said a lot of characters are getting costume changes, like Cap getting a more movie-friendly suit and Hulk wearing some sort of robot-armor, which really makes no sense.
What is really intriguing about this is how Marvel is deciding to relaunch the books one at a time instead of DC’s “everything changes here” approach, which was a mixed bag of success.
Only time will tell how Marvel’s relaunch plans hold out, with a LOT of Avengers books coming, more focus on the cosmic side of things, and everyone getting hip-new costumes, this comic reader is both scared and confused by change. But continue to read Amazing Spider-Man.
I’d be interested in All New X-Men
The new Hawkeye series comes out in August, I may pick that up! Other than that, maybe Avengers?
I’m picking up the avengers and X-Men I haven’t really read any hawkeye would you recommend it.
So what new series are you looking forward to the most.
