The gents over at Game Informer have just revealed that The Elder Scrolls Online MMO will be their cover story for their June magazine issue. Yes, you are reading that correctly, a full-fledged MMO set in the Elder Scrolls world and will cross through the lands of Tamriel and all the lands in between.
The development of this MMO-RPG is being done by Zenimax Online Studios. Players will be taken into a whole new chapter of Elder Scrolls lore, about one thousand years before the events that happen in Skyrim. The story follows Molag Bal, a Daedric prince that wants to consume the world of Tamriel and make it his for the Daedra.
“It will be extremely rewarding finally to unveil what we have been developing the last several years,” mentioned game director Matt Firor, who’s in the past worked on Mythic’s Dark Age of Camelot.
“The entire team is committed to creating the best MMO ever made – and one that is worthy of The Elder Scrolls franchise.”
The June issue of Game Informer will show us some solo quests, public dungeons and of course “player driven” PVP.
A trailer will be released from Zenimax Online and Bethesda Softworks alongside an in-game screenshot sometime tomorrow. Try to hold your excitement until then!
So far The Elders Scroll MMO is slated for a 2013 release and be on both PC and Mac.
