IDW Announces New Series ONYX

IDW recently announced at Emerald City Comic Con that writer Chris Ryall will be teaming with artist Gabriel Rodriguez, most notably known for his amazing work on the series Locke and Key and more recently on the Little Nemo: Return to Slumberland mini series, on a brand new 4 issue mini series entitled Onyx. Here’s the official series description…

Onyx tells the tale of a female metal-suited warrior who comes to Earth on a quest to either save the planet or destroy it. It’s up to a team of super-soldiers to figure out which before it’s too late, and before a much greater threat overwhelms both them and the planet itself.

On the comics podcast we have all sung the praises of the art of Gabriel Rodriguez, where we fell in love with his work on Locke and Key,  so it should come as no surprise that I am very much looking forward to this book, based simply off the fact that he will be drawing it. Look forward to checking out this new series this July, along with preview pages found within several of IDW’s May releases, in case your interested in checking it out.
