Saint Young Men Movie Staff Reveal

As you have been led to believe, the staff for the upcoming Saint Young Men anime film was announced last week. The crew is as follows:

• Director: Noriko Takao (episode director on Clannad, K-ON!, Lucky Star)

• Screenplay: Rika Nezu (live-action Kimi ni Todoke, live-action Absolute Boyfriend)

• Character Designer: Naoyuki Asano (chief animation director on Doraemon films)

• Animation Production: A-1 Pictures

• Music: Keiichi Suzuki (Tokyo Godfathers, No. 6, live-action Uzumaki, Outrage Beyond),Ryomei Shirai (20th Century Boys)

• Production: Aniplex, Kodansha, TOHO

• Distribution: TOHO Films

In addition to the announcement of the staff, it was announced that not only would Hikaru Nakamura’s manga be getting a feature film, but an OVA as well. It will be shipped out with the special edition of the 8th volume of the manga on December 3rd.

As for a release date for the film, the production site proudly proclaims that they are on track for a release “sometime this century.”
